Norwegian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (NVCA)
The Norwegian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (NVCA) is the industry association for professional private equity and venture capital investors and their service providers. Founded in 2001, the NVCA is an independent, non‑profit organisation representing the entire ecosystem in Norway, from seed and venture capital to growth and buyout investing. Through membership in the NVCA, investors and service providers can network, collaborate and gain valuable insights.
The NVCA is working to strengthen Norway’s competitiveness as an investment destination and capital market. The association shares the industry’s perspectives in public consultations and other political processes in the Norwegian Government and Parliament, represents the industry in the media and publishes investment statistics regularly.
The association is governed by a board elected from its primary members, and is part of a wider European network through its membership in Invest Europe.

NVCA has more than 100 members, of which approximately two‑thirds are investing members. The membership base primarily consists of Norwegian and international:
Investing members are active owners with a long‑term approach, typically investing in unlisted companies in early, growth, or transformation phases. All investing members are required to comply with NVCA’s ethical guidelines.
